Lessons Learned in Life | Live with Purpose
Top 3 Life Lessons
Before passing away my mother taught me some very valuable life lessons. Those lessons are now embedded in my soul. Take care of your spirit, love the ones your with and do not miss the opportunity to explore.
These lessons were not learned in a traditional way…she did not sit me down and share amazing stories with me. These lessons were learned by witnessing a life left unfulfilled. My mother lost her battle to cancer at the young age of 54 there are many things I wished for her but we simply ran out of time.
Lesson 1 - Take Care of Your Spirit

Lesson 2 - Love the Ones your with
Love is a tricky thing it is an extreme emotion and can easily turn into darkness. One of my favorite quotes is from Dreams for an Insomniac “ Anything less than mad, passionate, extraordinary love, it’s a waste of time. There are too many mediocre things in life and love should not be one of them”. Love means respecting the ones in your life and having unconditional care for them without any motive or relentless need to compromise. I always find it odd when people use compromise as a way describe marriage. Yes, there are unified decisions that should be made...small things that may appear as compromise but the relentless need to settle for things like how to spend the majority of your time, how to live your life, where you choose to live and when to start a family are not small. There are many things in life that are out of our control...love should not be something that you simply settle for. My husband once told me “Find someone that complements you versus supplement you… finding love is kinda like winning the lottery, everyone wants it but not all achieve it”. There is no need to constantly look for someone else to make up for your weaknesses ...instead identify what you lack and strengthen it. If you are one of the lucky ones to find pure love hold on to it and take care of it...don’t take it for granted.
Lesson 3 - Do not miss the opportunity to Explore
